Overview

This eLearning provides clients with an opportunity to practice using the TaxDome portal for preparing and filing their tax returns.

Challenge

Many of Mike's clients are not familiar or are uncomfortable using  the TaxDome portal. As a result, this lack of usage can cause delays in tax filing and even necessitate an extension.  The TaxDome portal provides a convenient system for providing documentation and communication with their accountant.

Solution

To overcome these challenges, I developed an eLearning course for these clients.  It shares with new clients, details on the basic steps for using the TaxDome program to complete a tax return.  Each step is clearly explained in a video format and accompanied by an interactive activity to enhance the viewer's understanding and retention of the information.  A guidebook has also been created and offered as a resource to the clients at the end of the course.

Outcome

The anticipated result would be that clients will utilize the TaxDome program.  Share all documents/ information, leading to a smooth workflow for filing federal and state tax submissions without requiring an extension. My client's goal is to be able to complete tax returns for his clients in two weeks.
